How to choose the right health calculator

Start with a baseline. The BMI calculator gives you a quick weight-status category, but it is imperfect for athletes and muscle-dense individuals — pair it with the body fat percentage calculator for a fuller picture. The BMR (basal metabolic rate) tells you what your body burns at rest; the TDEE (total daily energy expenditure) adds your activity level on top of that.
